Rescue 8 bravo

The current vessel on the base using the call-sign "rescue 8a" was previously know as 'rescue 1' and is a 4.2m duck. During the 2009 - 2010 Advanced Waverider Helmsman's Course, the station acquired R8b for the course, and subsequently took over the management of the craft from Head Office.

Equipment Medical equipment. Night Vision Equipment, Inshore swimmers rescue equipment. Beaching capability if required. Very shallow draft to use in rocky coves and in the shore break
Launch method trailer launched. Can be mobilised and used with R8 mobile for beach launching and recovery
Navigation & Comms  VHF Radio . Cellular telecoms.
